Flexible Energy Laboratory

The EPIC Flexible Energy Laboratories Suite is an advanced electric power research facility where researchers design and test controls and algorithms for power processing technologies and machine drives, evaluate high voltage cable and insulation components, and perform advanced grid modernization research. By conducting research on new energy technologies and testing methodologies, by creating new designs, and by developing new products, UNC Charlotte assists the energy industry in building a reliable and future-proof power infrastructure.
